17. Problems for Part II#
In this chapter we collect various problems to build intuition or gain practice in the topics covered in Part II.
Problem: Model selection basics explores model selection via evidence calculations, using as a prototypical problem the number of terms in a Taylor series that provide the best to some (noisy) data in a finite range.
Problem: Evidence calculation for EFT expansions has a series of tasks looking at evidence for expansions based on effective field theories.
Problem: How many lines are there? explores model selection with a problem to infer how many signal peaks there are in a noisy set of data.
